The 18 raised garden boxes were originally constructed in 2011 by Michael Keller for his Eagle project. This year, a group from Marr Community Bible Church did the initial pre-planting cleanup of all the beds at 735 N. Grand – both vegetable and flower – and put down new mulch in all areas. Soon after, vegetable plants were again provided by Webberville’s FFA. The Fowlerville Garden Club oversaw the planning and planting of this garden and periodically helped with the weeding & trimming of the shrubs and perennials at both of our buildings. Throughout the growing season, FIC volunteers shared in the weeding and watering as well as the harvesting of the Pantry garden. We’re so very grateful for everyone’s help along the way!
